About
I have over 20 years of coaching experience in grassroots tennis, and love coaching in primary schools and in mini-tennis. I started playing tennis at the age of twelve, where I played at Manydown Tennis Centre in Basingstoke. In 2002 I went to Bournemouth to study Sport Development & coaching Sciences degree. In my 3rd year out in industry  I started to coached in Shaftesbury, working closely with Active Sports, Dorset LTA, Shaftesbury Sports College, North Dorset County Council and Marnhull Tennis Club. This was the start of Shaftesbury Community Tennis Club and Griffin Tennis Academy Ltd. Unfortunately in 2020 covid hit and I decided to close Griffin Tennis Academy down, and go in partnership with a great coach and friend Chris Biddle. In 2010 I was nominated for Dorset tennis coach of the year, and in 2011 I was again nominated and won the award. In December 2016 I achieved the LTA's highest coaching qualification the level 5 Master Club Coach. In my spare time, I love to play golf and watch a film on my home cinema.
